I guess my blogging has become somewhat of a rarity, huh? I’d say that I’ve been busy, but that would be an awful lie. Since I last posted, I have:
1. Returned to school
2. Finished classes
3. Attended a good number of basketball games
4. Taken my two finals
5. Returned to California, where I have:
a. Hung out with Nathan
b. Gone to Davis with Ellen and Amanda
c. Spent a day with Adam
One of the highlights of my break so far was emailing Manchester and receiving a coherent, grammatically correct response! For example, she wrote “congratulations” instead of “cong-g’s” and “Ms. Manchester” instead of “Ms. M.” She even added a morbid joke! This occurred yesterday, which doesn’t necessarily mean that nothing happened before then. The trip to Davis was fun, as was seeing Nathan (that was probably the best planning ever, essentially we were talking online at 9:30 or so and he said, “You’re not busy? Wanna hang out?” so we went to In-n-Out and wandered around Napa).
Now Adam gets his own paragraph even though he probably won’t read this. Except I’ve decided that he will read it because I will make him. I went and stole him from Santa Rosa this morning and took him to Sonoma. We went the the bagel shop for fewdz and Longs for beverages and then went to the Plaza to eat. It was “cold” (Adam was shivering, I was in flip flops and content) so after we finished eating and Adam had finished failing at shooting our trash into the garbage can we left. We wandered aimlessly some more and ended up at Prestwood. There are photos of that experience on Facebook, but basically we laughed at young children’s art projects and played basketball for a long time. I swatted him! :) Then we…um…wandered and found ourselves in the St. Leo’s parking lot. I hadn’t been there since I was 12 or 13, so it was weird driving (me? driving? St. Leo’s? WEIRD!) through there. It’s smaller than I remember. We then found ourselves in the Santa Rosa area again and had some time to kill before I needed to take Adam back home so he could go to work, so we went to Borders. I got three poetry books, one of each by e.e. cummings, John Donne, and Charles Bukowski. The first one has music in it, songs written based on his poetry, so that was awesome. Adam and I were flipping through it and we passed the music and had an identical reaction: “Was that music??!?! Wait go back!!” Anyway, I then dropped him off and came home. Since then I haven’t been doing much at all. Oh, and apparently it’s 2009, so this blog now spans over three years…!
Off to read some poetry? I suppose it could be worse. For instance, I could be indulging in Suicide. Heh. Heh. Heh…
